Open Letter To Justin Trudeu - Mr PM...THANK-YOU!

 I would like to say thank you for restoring hope in Canada...for 10 long years Harm Reduction efforts were stalled & stonewalled by the Harper regime ,ignoring & silencing science no more you have chosen a different path ...thank-you thank-you thank-you ! I watched the opening ceremony with pride as the native throat singers sang & laughed .Again thank-you for stopping the bombing of others ...Thanks for NOT spending billions on a jet that wont fly in the cold...Thanks for helping thousands of refugees , but don't you think we should look into our own backyard I am speaking about the thousands of native peoples that live in substandard housing with no clean water...this is UNACCEPTABLE & demands your immediate attention . Thank-you for keeping your promise to legalize pot, as an HIV+ recovering IDU this herb helps me live & eat however taxing me 30% is NOT ethical at all.....We could end poverty if we all had a living wage...wouldn't that be great & imagine the boost to the economy...think about it... all those people getting monies back at tax time would spend it on things they need like housing , cars , toys for kids etc....thank-you for restoring decency in politics....This is long over due & is a nice change to see ! Thank-you for choosing half woman & minority's in the makeup of your cabinet , this is a truer reflection of Canada. You are well on your way to becoming the best prime minister this country has ever seen , THANKS! 

What is Harm Reduction

Harm Reduction & Self Care First ;  Harm reduction is simply anything you can do to lessen the harm done to oneself or one's envirement.Taking a bus instead of flying...riding a bike instead of taking a bus...smoking 10 joints instead of the usual 15...injecting 2 instead of 3 ...stop smoking & we can go on & on with various examples of harm reduction....The needle exchange is probably the best example...but we need to do more...safe injection sites have saved many lives & needs to spread out across the rest of America..It's time the WAR ended & the prohibition stopped...its time to put people first...With the legalization & taxation of drugs we can invest in treatment facilities & schools NOT jails & jets as Mr Harper would like...how can 1 man be so anal...affecting millions of lives...it just boggles the mind it does!

 Meditation has played a huge part in my own personal self care first strategy & I would strongly encourage all to take up this healing practice...self care should  & harm reduction should be taught in all schools & to all of our youth...PS! I love clean water,air,forests,lakes,rivers,streams, & I am strongly against ALL pollution...does this make me a terrorist,I think not...a dreamer maybe,but terrorist no...Sadly under the new Harper government laws I may be branded as 1 for loving a clean environment...sometimes people have to take a stand when they know in their hearts they are doing the right thing... I suppose it's all a matter of perspective really...yours or mine...or hisÉ...peace all!

Killing Planet Earth...more musings of an addict

We are spiritual beings on a human journey...we all want the same things in life, to love & be loved. To feel like a contributing member of society . To live in a safe affordable house & to be able to provide for our loved ones . To drink safe water & breath  clean air & eat safe nutritional  foods . Yet despite all this we are destroying our home planet of earth . The greatest die-off is now in process with the depletion of wildlife & fauna happening at an ever increasing rate . We have got to become the change we wish to see in others...Our throw away society has got to wake up fast! Some are , most are not . We are going to see some drastic changes to the way people live in the next 10 yrs. Climate change is real & happening now . Our addiction to oil is fueling our demise . We are oil junkies and need to get off of this drug that is slowly killing us  & the faster the better off we all will be. Renewable energy sources is where its at these days ...why wont we get with the program & help save ourselves along with planet earthÉ We need to face reality ! WAKE UP PEOPLES!!!please

Happiest Place in Canada - Sudbury Ontario....

Long ago astronauts came here to train as it appeared as close to the moon as earth can get. Black rock and no trees has been returned to nature , of course with a lot of lime & time by many peoples & organizations. We planted trees by the thousands & 20 yrs. on we were actually named the happiest place in Canada! Boot time eh! Seriously though I think its because the Sudbury residents know what hard times are all about...with numerous strikes & set backs in local resource extraction we have learned to appreciate the true meaning of life = Family & Friends ; Our lives are intertwined as this is a smaller community ...we must learn to love & not judge others (seriously hard I know )we have been conditioned to be fearful, to be afraid...just watch the news...do you feel anymore informed? Probably not really...I notice all the news in the same , on all channels . Look for yourself if you do not believe me . See? I suppose it all boils down to perspective & who you ask or talk to...Myself I believe that Sudbury is indeed the happiest place to live...we have nature just minutes away from our doors & windows . Lakes & streams , fish & game , trails for every type of off road adventure one can design .

Unresolved Childhood Trauma & Why We Need Safe Injection Sites

Last night Sudbury lost another addict...not big news to everyone else , but devastating to those that knew them...The majority of addicts use to mask unresolved childhood trauma...instead of placing addicts in jails we should be placing them in treatment centres ...Addiction can be overcome with enough will power & help from those surrounding us...we need love & support not the stigma & the discrimination that abounds for all addicts. T.V.,SEX,POWER,MONEY are all addictive yet we don't hear much about those do we...Safe injection sites are needed across Canada... instead of hindering this process Harper should embrace this...Perhaps if it happened to 1 of his family members we might see some movement on this,but don't hold yer breath! As an HIV+ recovering addict myself, I see the harm involved with addiction...the loss & sorrow felt by so many across this nation needs to be addressed asap! Safe injection sites save lives...OD rates drop, more addicts access treatment. On just those 2 facts alone you would think it would wake others up to allow these in all cities.HARM REDUCTION saves lives,& it could save someone you know & love from an early death...We also need more narconon distribution to help save more lives....Harm Reduction efforts have been set back many yrs. Once world leaders, we are now followers  thanks to backward policies put in place by the conservative government. The laws that once protected Canadians from polluters no longer exist , placing all of our lives in jeopardy. The actions by this government are nothing less then criminal acts & should be punished to the fullest extent of our laws. Mr Harper has stated we must be afraid of the terrorists thereby becoming that which he professes to be against...fear mongering is terrorism & he needs to be brought to justice at the polls, so get out & vote. Live , love & laugh folks!

This is why its so important to vote in the next election.  Conservatives have led to the decline in the quality of life here in Canada . Harm Reduction has been set back 20 yrs. When I think of all the gains we made in the past 5 - 10 yrs,only to be thrown back into the dark ages by the conservative party of Canada due to ideological views . We must make policy based on scientific evidence...policies that will work in saving lives in all communities like the insight program in Vancouver must be spread across this country . Its time to grow up & get real folks...Addiction can be overcome & cured ...treatment & NOT prosecution is what addicts need now....

A Taste For Life Sudbury 2015

With world Aids day over & done with our next event to raise monies for the living well fund. This year will see an end to the food voucher program which provided HIV+ clients a 20.00 food voucher per month...sadly the increase in people testing HIV+ & HEP-C + has led to the end of this program that used to help 150 people living with HIV in the Algoma district.
As I was part of the team to put this ad on for the red scarf campaigned I wanted to show some of my past work with Reseau Access Network...I wish other PHAs would step up & join this organization at the board level...I could use some help! If you would like to help call 705 688 0500 we are always seeking volunteers in & from our community ....Happy Easter n Passover  & Ramadan...

Back to Basics-A Science Conference Review

So, after a 6 hr bus ride i arrived at the hotel, the Ramada Inn on Jarvis tired, sore and just alittle bitchy .The ride was made worse when to females started to argue over the phone.Mr bus driver has more patience then i.If it was up to me i would have left them both at the side of the road!Ok so back the conference. ..not to sure what is going on as of yet but i will find out tomorrow what i will attempt to attend.Love the food at these gatherings. decadent sweets of all shapes and sizes, colours &smells. I am looking forward to seeing alot of peoples i have not seen in awhile.It will be good to catch up...1 love being in love! I think love can have enormous power, if used wisely.

November Rain....

Well another year is drawing to a close soon, as fall gives way to winter temps here in northern ontario. Life in a small mining community can be a challenge, especially when you have a chronic disease. I am greatfull for meeting with so many dedicated people. I have found love at last,&am in a better space these days. A life without love is not living its existing.
Just had a visit from jerry...homeless, for 2 wks, fresh out of jail . schizophrenic on disability., wrongfully evicted.Canada must develop a homeless strategy. Too many people's are 1 check away from being homless....too many people are paying too much just to survive. We are like slaves when you stop and think about it. ..the rich get richer, the poorget poorer. ..sad...this will not last . We will wake up eventually, i hope, i pray. ...nways hope all has a safe day! Ps...we must stop adding poison to our water, flouride kills.

Housing Plan Needed for All

Housing: Walking downtown yesterday my gf & i observed 2 intoxicated people passed out in a parking lot. Frig, they are gonna freeze i said to Adrianne, my gf, who sadly agreed. Canada does not have a national housing stratedgy. Yet thousands find themselves homeless every yr in canada. People who suffer from mental health issues like addiction struggle daily just to survive.We know from scientific research that housing is a key determinate of health. If we do not have safe affordable housing we do NOT thrive as human being should. Canada needs a nationwide housing plan in place for all people .

X-Mas Too Commercialized Now,But it Looks Pretty.

As Christmas is fast aproaching us i have noticed how every year it gets more commercialized.Sales & adverts bombarding our every sences...It seems that Christmas has lost its meaning for me.I have no more family to celebrate this time of yr with,& memories of happier times make this yr. seem all the more lonely for me.

I know i am thankfull for all that i have.Its all just stuff.Too much stuff truth be told...its about time i clean out my apt. & get rid of all the junk i have collected over the past few yrs.

Trying to stay positive is not easy esp at this time of yr.I know i am now alone in this as millions feel as do i.Wars suck.The choices we make today will determine how we live tomorrow.Go green & pay it forward eh FOLKS!PEACE N LOVE NOT WARS N WALLS !!!SAFE SEX SAVES LIVES SO SAVE A LIFE TODAY!THE LIFE YOU SAVE COULD BE YOUR OWN IF YOUR SMART & WEAR A CONDOM!!!

Back to Work/School

Well life never ceases to amaze me,throwing trials & tribulations that have now turned into some good oportunity's pour moi.I have a good chance at getting the CBR job i applied for 2 months ago now,and i am just waiting to hear from a couple of folks before i send off my referrals...This is where i make,or break,this job.I would like to get Dr Sandre,but i am not sure if he would do it.I haven't treated him good at all.Back when i was useing i even grabbed & threatened him.He still took me back for a patient!This guy has saved many lives,& although i do not agree with him on certain pot issue's,i think he is a good man.A good referral from him would almost certainly make the position mine...I would love to be working again,& doing this would not be like a job for me...as i like doing this type of work...this would make me feel like a contributeing member of society once again!THANK-GOD!!!He works in such wonderous ways!Just for today i am so very gratefull that i am clean,and getting closer to serene with each & every day that passes.My fear of death is slowly leaving as well...a good thing when your HIV+!Living with this disease is not always easy!Its other peoples reactions that are the hardest part to deal with-so,if you can get past that,then it should get much better for you in telling you story....

Breaking your silence & telling others of your thoughts & feelings can be such a relief!~Stress's & stressor's start to come down,although at times it can get much worse before it starts to get much better...maybe it has to do with how far youve gone downhill?Making the climb back up all the harder!Bring it on!GOD i thank YOU so very much!Life is getting even better now....and i can live with that.Peace n love not wars n walls eh folks!!!

No Job Fo Joe,Permenent Place For HIV-AIDs Gatherings

So ya i didn't get the job i applied for in Toronto but that does not surprise me,as i knew i had blown my interview with the transportation question...like how was i supposed to get back n forth...bus or hitch a ride doesn't sound solid enough or something that you can afford to count on.That's really too bad as i was really hoping to get this position.Guess it was not meant to be after all right folks...the other position i applied for i haven't heard anything back so That's a right off as well.Dam,getting back into the workforce is alot harder then i thought.Well looks like its back to school for this guy....

Now that i am Little down i may as well talk about the HIV-AIDs Candle light Memorial.We do not have any place here in sudbury to hold these each yr. and so its always a dif place.I am hoping to get 1 created here in sudsbury so we can have a place to hold this event each yr. & to write down the names of all the peoples that have died in sudbury from HIV-AIDs & related causes such as cancer.A giant red ribbon perhaps...not sure but we should have a place like this along time ago now.Access Aids Sudbury should have its own building & not be paying rent for yrs.Better to be paying for a Morgage then to just be paying rent.I wish i could do the same...hard to get anything done though when your alone.I guess i am just going to try going back and doing some upgrading for now...a busy guy is a healthy guy...k well i hope you all have a great summer.Its been an other cool 1 this yr here in sudbury.Peace n love not wars n walls eh folks!!!

CAHR Conference in VANCOUVER Here I Come!!!

So yes i am going to this conf to co-facilitate the HIV Research Cafe that is going to be held at some point during this conf. from April 22 to 26 return the 29!I cannot wait as this will be a very exciting trip for me as i havent been out to BC this will def be an adventure to remember for sure!!!The Recent leadership alumni gathering was also a great success & i am very greatfull to Thomas Egdorf & the Ont Aids Network for this chance to attend & be apart of a great gathering of like minded peoples trying to effect positive change here in Canada!!!PEACE N LOVE NOT WARS N WALLS EH FOLKS!!!

So the recent leadership Alumni conf was held & was another great success.This is offset by the fact that i did NOT get the scholership to attend Vancouver to help co-facilitate a HIV Research Cafe..having facilitated 3 now i have a better understanding of the concept & why shelly finds it so importent to bring this to more peoples & places.So i am going to facilitator 3 this weekend which will leave me only 1 session left to go before having completed all training offered by the OAN.As i tried to do my best in promoting this little tidbit of info that happens to be so very true,as i found this out inside after being touched by the spirit.No words can describe the overwhelming love,compassion & peace that overwhelmed me that day while waiting to be transfered back to the range.The fact that we are indeed spiritual beings popped into my head & i have been saying this fact for awhile now.Well i bid u all a great day & a good night GODBLESS Folks!!!PEACE N LOVE NOT WARS N WALLS EH FOLKS!!! Economy Stressing Many-Overwhelming Kids =20/20 Review By James JC Gough

I watched 20/20 tonight ∧ it had a bunch of high-school kids that posted a video called R U Listening on You-Tube.Turnes out the president was listening & stepped in to help...Wow i think...but what about all the dyeing kids over in Africa each & every hour,second-YES SECOND's!UNIVERSAL TESTING & TREATMENT MUST BE INIATED ASAP!!!
As i leave for T.O. next week i will be very busy the whole time down there.I started my presnttation all over again from scratch only to have it all disappear on me!I hate that when that happens(more then a few times now) i am guesing i will finally have to take a course after all if i ever want to truly master these machines...well folks peace love & happiness to you all,& have a great day eh!
Ebola is now on this side of the world...fear is spreading faster then the disease. ..without education stigma will not be far behind...this world seems like its falling apart & i can do nothing but sit n watch it all slowly disintegrate before my very eyes. We all want n need to love n be loved, we are all 1 family. ..when will we learn this scientific fact? Peace & Love has got to rule over war n hate...at least in my world.

,HIV Support Group Sudbury is Morphing Into a Social Group

So ya as allot of PHA's are more stable the support group is no longer needed-no PHA's attending is the reason for the upcoming changes.I think a skill's building & social group would be more productive & helpfull to PHA's living here in Northern Ont.Too bad we don't have the services that Toronto has for HIV+ folks...someday maybe...So Opening Door's is gone for another yr.This yr we received allot of information on medical pot-Its just too bad that the ONLY specialist we have does not believe in prescribing pot for persons with HIV-AIDs.Maybe 1 day we can get that fixed & PHA's living in the north wont have to suffer needlessly.Well the Leadership Alumni Meeting is coming up next week & i will be presenting on saturday afternoon for the first time!I call it "Creating New Front Lines of Attack on HIV-AIDs Blogs,Vlogs & Video's 2!``it`s aimed at PLWHA`s to get them to break their silence & to start talking about HIV-AIDs,creating websites & web pages will bring more education & awareness to the www.I think this is a medium that is under-used by PHA`s & more monies should be added to keep educating folks on HIV issues & concerns.As for myself i would personally like to Thank one THOMAS EGDORF for his wonderful dream & i hope his program takes off & goes National as it is a great way to encourage & empower PHA`s...The trouble is when we get back to our cities & try to engage our ASO`s many times we face rejection & ridicule...but we must not let that get us depressed or down.If we keep our trust in GOD & Jesus Christ then we have nothing to worry about do we...well it was a great ride support groûp suds & i would also like to thank those that joined this site...this will remain here for PHA`s to add blogs or pictures or just to VENT Little=its cool & its welcomed eh!PEACE N LOVE NOT WARS N WALLS EH FOLK'S!
